Nepal Volunteer Program Make the world a better place, one child at a time. Volunteering in Nepal can be one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences of your life. If you have experience teaching children (almost any subject, but particularly English as a second language), Creating activities and educational play for children, or working in Medicine we need your help. Volunteers stay with the Academy teachers and are provided with a private room and feed traditional home cooked Nepali food. Volunteers can learn the Nepali language through an experienced teacher, sessions are 4 times a week and 2 hours a day. It is a great opportunity to see authentic Nepali life, culture, language and food. The Foundation can help volunteers organize field trips to see the most interesting sites for local handicrafts and art, religious temples, shopping, architecture, nature, and Nepali culture. The cost for accommodation, food, and language classes are: If volunteers wish to stay for longer periods, costs will be negotiable. The foundation does not recommend volunteers visit outside of Kathmandu for the time being. Volunteers are responsible for all other costs such as airfare, transportation, visas, extended health insurance, innoculations, and spending money. The foundation only takes 2 volunteers at a time.
