Education is the key Education is the only real way out of poverty for poor or orphaned children in Nepal. Without education it is impossible to get the basic skills needed to participate in society, to get a job, to understand the bigger world, to create a better life for oneself. Unfortunately many children are not able to go to school in Nepal. Often Government schools are insufficient or do not exist, and private schools cost funds which poor families just do not have. Frequently the family needs the money the child can earn working or begging. The objectives of the New Shrine Foundation are as follows The New Shrine Foundation is a non-political, non-profit and non-religious Non-Government Organization (NGO), registered with His Majesty's Government of Nepal. The New Shrine Academy is affiliated with the Department of Education. The main goal of the foundation is to provide the children with a decent education and, in the long term, enable them to become independent and self-supporting. |
